Chandigarh 1 December (Wishaw Warta) Thirty NDA aspirants of Chandigarh Defence Academy, met military personnel at Chandigarh Military Carnival today to get information about their daily routine, The Academy trying to train youth of Punjab , Haryana , Himachal for entrance exam of army ( NDA) and many engineering services related to it. Students had chit chat with army personnel and saw Army Dog Squad too , they also inquired about all weapons , arms and ammunition. Students also liked a specially built off-roading track on the occasion, which was built for the Himalayan, a model of Royal Enfield and racing Cars . This year, NDA’s entrance will be held on 12 and 26 January.
The National Defense Academy (NDA) is a joint service academy of the Indian armed forces. Where cadets of Army, Navy and Air Force are trained together. Every year around 4-5 lakh candidates appear in the NDA exam, out of which about ten thousand candidates are able to pass the exam. Next, go to the Services Selection Board (SSB). Then about 300 to 350 cadets are selected for the Academy NDA after interviewing about 9,000 students.
There was a time when the number of students getting selected in NDA from Punjab used to be high but today Punjab is more indulged in drugs than education, the younger generation is in the grip of drug addiction, unemployed youth are looking forward to Canada and Australia, said Vandana, a trainee of Chandigarh Defence Academy.
