• Allocate departments to 404 steno typists
Chandigarh, November 13:
The recently appointed members of the Punjab Subordinate Service Selection Board (PSSSB) held the first meeting under the Chairmanship of Mr. Raman Behl in the board conference room on Wednesday.
The meeting proved to be extremely constructive as the fate of over four hundred candidates held in bay for nearly five years, was decided. The members unanimously decided to allot departments to the candidates shortlisted in the test for steno typists held in April 2016, informed Raman Behl, Chairman Punjab Subordinate Service Selection Board.
“The test was held long ago but departments could not be allotted to the successful candidates due to the stay imposed by the hon’ble High Court in connection with civil writ petition No. 7786/2019 by Sarvpreet Kaur vs. the Punjab Government and others,” he informed. The Chairman said that the Members have decided to implement the decision of the court in letter and spirit; thereby 28 different departments have been allotted to 404 successful candidates on basis of merit and the preferences listed by them.
