National Gatka Association to organize 3 days Gatka training workshop from June 7 at Fatehgarh Sahib
Chandigarh June 2 : With a view to hone the martial art skills and to impart practical training to referees, the National Gatka Association of India and Gatka Association Punjab is going to hold three days Gatka training workshop for boys at Sri Fatehgarh Sahib from June 7 to 9 in association with district Gatka Association.
Giving details President of National Gatka Association, Harjeet Singh Grewal said this extensive refresher course has been designed especially only for referees in which martial art experts would teach rules and regulations for playing Gatka during theory and practical classes. “Referees having age more than 21 years and upto 35 years with experience of atleast two years can join this certification camp”, he added.
Gatka promoter Grewal informed that after successful completion of this training module, the National Gatka Association would hand over certificates and smart identify cards to successful campers and officials. “This course was aimed at to promote activities of Gatka Association and successfully organising Gatka tournaments and training camps in the state”, he said.
