Chandigarh: The Aam Aadmi Party has decided to start door-to-door campaign at booth level in all 13000 panchayats in Punjab. The party will initially focus on those 7000 villages where AAP has registered win in Panchayat elections.
In a press statement, the chairman of core committee Principal Budhram said that the party will organize training camps for sarpanchs and panchs at village level. He said that during the session the volunteers will be taught the ways to reach out to the people at grassroot level. He said that the volunteers will tell the people how and why Akali Dal Badal has lost the ground in state and also about the fake promises made by Narendra Modi and Capt. Amarinder Singh before the elections.
Principal Budhram said that the newly elected Sarpanches and Panches will educate the people of state about the work done in the field of health and education by Arvind Kejriwal led AAP govt. in Delhi. He said that AAP will start campaign for Lok Sabha elections with the help of elected Sarpanches and Panches.
