Chennai: Prime Minister Narendra Modi pays homage to Karunanidhi at Chennai’s Rajaji Hall, here on Wednesday. He meets Karunanidhi’s wife Rajathi Ammal, Kanimozhi and Stalin after paying tribute.

After paying tribute Modi tweets “In Chennai, I paid tributes to an extraordinary leader and a veteran administrator whose life was devoted to public welfare and social justice. Kalaignar Karunanidhi will live on in the hearts and minds of the millions of people whose lives were transformed by him,”.

Around 15,000 people have gathered near the Rajaji Hall to pay homage to the former Chief Minister M Karunanidhi. About 2,500 to 5,000 floating population can be seen in and around Rajaji Hall.
