Jalandhar, January 17- General Manager, District Industries Centre (DIC), Jalandhar and Quality Council of India today organised an awareness –cum- Registration camp on Zero Defect Zero Effect (ZED) scheme of Ministry of Micro Small Medium Enterprises (MSME) in which various Industrialists and Industrial Association took part. On the occasion, representatives of Quality Council of India Sameer Prashar and Rohit Varshney apprised Industrialist and Industrial Association of the scheme which was aimed at enhancing the Quality of the products manufactured by MSME’S industries so that they could globally competitive. Sameer Prashar said that the scheme was aimed for Quality improvement of the products manufactured without affecting the environment.
On the occasion, the General Manager, DIC Mahesh Khanna while motivating the Industrialist said that camp was meant to encourage Industrialist to register themselves with the Government under the ZED Scheme. He said that getting rated under the ZED Scheme Industrialist would help in finding the International buyers and also help them having joint ventures avenues and expand their business Internationally. Further only the fully compliant units could be in a position to get good rating and their products are more acceptable in semi Govt/ Govt sector, as defect will be minimum. He explained about the fiscal incentives given by the Punjab Govt under its Industrial and Business Development Policy 2017 particularly for implementation of ZED Scheme.Where in the compliant and ZED certified units will be in a position to avail incentives for modernization, energy audit, water audit, ETP establishments or the technology transfer He said Industrialist took part in camp and register their units under ZED Scheme.
