Sangrur, December 26 (Wishav Warta): Punjab police claims to solve a fraud case of 1.57 crore. Police have nabbed three accused in a fraud case of Rs 1.57 crore for cheating farmers, a huge amount has been recovered from the possession of accused. The recovered amount is more than Rs. 1.40 crore. The accused had cheated 36 farmers of the Sangrur district.
Sangrur police have arrested Satnam (commission agent) along with 2 other persons Star Khan (Palasaur, Dhuri) and Harvinder Babbu (Dhuri).
Divulging details DIG Patiala range Dr. Sukhchain Singh Gill and SSP Sangrur Mandeep Singh said that the accused flew to Azerbaijan on the night of 4 December and later they flew to Thailand and they were further planning to go to Australia after cheating farmers of their hard earned money of crops they sold to him .
Both Satnam, Star Khan and Harvinder Babbu were located in Thailand with the help of central intelligence agencies & Punjab police intelligence department and got deported from Thailand on 22nd December.
